WHAT:  Seedball Workshop

DATE:  Saturday 13 June

MORE: In this workshop we’re making seedballs – an excellent technique to get things growing, where nothing else will.

You’ll learn to make ’em, and take home a pack to sprout at your place.

We’ll also be distributing the first free batch of seedlings we’ve raised (on our fabulous seed raising mix), to whoever wants to take them home and grow some veg on their windowsills, in pots, or a veggie patch.

This 5 hour workshop introduces you to the combined practice of Alexander Technique and Pilates in order to give you practical tools for reducing tension and undoing patterns of chronic pain. You will experience practical work that addresses your movement needs so that you can improve your energy levels, strength, flexibility, mobility and vitality Class will be held at Utaki indoor studio space, and depending on weather we will finish with a walking meditation next to the Yarra trail. Limited spaces, book early! Price includes afternoon tea at Thyme by the Yarra cafe.

Join Kiss The Ground at their garden location in Venice for a night of food, music and commentary by Ryland Engelhart, Owner/Manager of Café Gratitude and founder of Kiss the Ground http://www.kisstheground.co. Musical entertainment for the evening will be provided by electro-acoustic musician, Kristin Center. http://www.kristincenter.com   As Kristin is at the keys, Chef Natalie Hsu will be presenting an amazing organic and vegetarian dinner.  Get the most of your space fertility with this session focused on soil, composting and wormeries. First we will go through how soil life works, then we'll go through how to get a good compost heap and starting a wormery, before going out to building a simple compost bin, and look at how to get your wormery in top shape.
